The Junghanns.NET GmbH was founded by the two brothers Klaus-Peter and Jens-Uwe Junghanns first as Junghanns and Junghanns GbR and in May 2000 was renamed into Junghanns.NET Gesellschaft für Internet-Services und Software-Development mbH.
At the beginning the main part of daily work was web-design and web-hosting. But the product and service portfolio grew rapidly and network-services and consulting were added. As a service company we were mostly developing software for various stock exchange companies.
In autumn 2001 we started to focus mainly on the sector of telephony. A project for a customer needed a flexible PBX and after intensive research we discovered Asterisk(R). Unfortunately at that time there was no real ISDN support and so we saw no problem but a chance and started to develop that ourselves. Through our extensive working with all kind of telephony the way was set for us.
Soon our first product hit the market, the quadBRI
was born. Within the next years more products followed which were in 2005 presented on Cebit, the worlds biggest Computer Show in Hannover, succesfully.
In contrast to our temporary competitors in the market we stand for quality, service and continuity. Following these basic principles we train Software Engineers ourselves. We are a privately held company focused on promoting and developing open source software.
